Breaking the silence ... of abuse

Psalm 147:3-6  He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.
 

I keep talking about abuse and the process one goes through to heal. It’s important to continue discussing  because it affects so many. The specifics may be different in you or someone close to you, but trust me it affects us all in the same way. The process of healing goes on long after the hurt is over.


The last time I was physically hurt by the hands of someone else was 1974 with the mental control lasting until 2005. My mother, an Alzheimer’s patient in her 80’s was still capable of torturing my psych until close to the time of her death. Though her physical and mental state was weak, she knew what buttons to push to send me over the edge if you will.

I was reminded today how

I'd like to introduce you to Evan
precious life is. We take it for granted, our families and health, most of all God. It took a phone call about a sick little boy to take me to my knees and thank Him for the blessings bestowed upon me and my family. We never know what minute in our daily life it will change.

Life changed in a flash for the family of a friend. This is about a boy named Evan who is seven. His head hurt. After a couple of days his momma took him to the doctor.
